Kulture Yabra won the Esteban Mahler Over-40 football championship organized by the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) at the Berger Field in Belize City on Sunday evening, December 15.

In Game 1, the consolation match for 3rd Place, the Brown Bombers bombed the Caye Caulker Veterans, 5-1, led by Alden Coleman’s brace (5’ & 17’). Other goals came from Leon “Chow” Cadle (26’), David “Manu” McCaulay (39’) and Deon Frazer (44’), after Arthur Flowers (15’) had equalized at 1-1 for Caye Caulker.

In Game 2, the championship final, Kulture Yabra schooled Plaza United, 4-2, with goals by Jaun Carlos Dussan (3’), Murray Menzies (15’), Steve “Gellies” Young’s header (43’) and Jerome “Jaro” James (50’). Only Michael Hendricks (12’) and Sergio Villanueva (19’) scored for Plaza United.
