SAN IGNACIO, Cayo District, Mon. Mar. 16, 2020– Leeroy Supaul, 28, a security guard, is being treated for gunshot wounds at the Western Regional Hospital, after an unknown gunman fired several times at him at about 10:30 Saturday night, hitting him in the leg, arm and abdomen.

Reliable information to us is that Supaul, who is currently in a serious but stable condition, was with friends near Branch Mouth Road in San Ignacio, but when he was about to leave at about 10:30, and was walking towards his parked motorcycle, an unknown man fired at him multiple times, then escaped.

Supaul was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital and was admitted. Police have begun an investigation into the shooting, but so far no one has been arrested, and the motive for the gun attack is yet unknown.
