Gunshots rang out last night in the Lake Independence area sometime before 9:00 p.m.
When police arrived at 28 Cumberbatch Street, they found a man who was later identified as Delbert Alvarez lying on the verandah of the concrete bungalow house suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
A gunman fired a volley of shots at Alvarez, hitting him multiple times to the body.
Alvarez was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where a doctor pronounced him dead on arrival.
