BELMOPAN–The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) is proud to present the Belize National U-17 Male Team who will represent Belize in the 2014 UNCAF U-17 Elimination Tournament which will be held in Liberia, Costa Rica from November 4 to 8. This tournament is the qualifier to CONCACAF U-17 Championship which will be hosted at San Pedro Sula, Honduras from February 27 – March 15, 2015.

(UNCAF – currently in qualifiers; North – Canada, Mexico, USA; CFU- Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, St. Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago)

The tournament will be played at Edgardo Baltodano Birsceño Stadium (natural grass). The tournament schedule is as follow:

The Belize Delegation will leave on Saturday, November 1, from the FFB Headquarters in Belmopan at 12 noon.

The players are: Clayton Fitzgibbon (FW, Julian Cho Tech, Punta Gorda); Dale Pelayo (DF, Belmopan Comprehensive, Belmopan); Isaul Coba (GK, San Pedro, San Pedro); Alvin Sifontes (FW, Ecumenical, Placencia); Jaren Lambey (MF, Julian Cho Tech, Punta Gorda); Mark Samuels (FW, Ecumenical, Pomona); Brandon Cante (MF, St. Ignatius, Cayo); Trey Harris (MF, St. Ignatius, Cayo); Sammy Sosa (DF, Mount Carmel, Benque); Marlom Garcia (MF, New Hope, Orange Walk); Rene Leslie (MF/FW,Independence, Independence); Deandre Pitter (DF, Wesley College, Belize City); Mario Valencia (MF, CCA, Roaring Creek); Raheen Egan (MF, Belize Adventist, Orange Walk); Robert Mendoza (FW, Alvin L Young Nazarene, Cayo); Noah Moro (MF/FW, Belmopan Comprehensive, Roaring Creek); Aldin Foreman (DF, Independence, Independence); Ricky Miranda (GK, Ecumenical, Dangriga).

(Ed. Note: We wish our boys all the best in these two games in which we are definite underdogs. Costa Rica is presently ranked #1 in CONCACAF and #16 in the World; El Salvador is #10 in Concacaf and #82 World; Belize is #25 in Concacaf and #167 World. And we have had no International Friendlies. But on the field it’s still 11 vs 11. Kungo, Belize!!)
