GeneralOne of three thieves arraigned and charged for bank’s security guard attack attempted theft
In most cases, statistics show that people who break the law manage to get away with it. Nevertheless, luck was not on the side of three men who had attempted to rob a nine millimeter handgun that was loaded with ten live rounds of ammunition from Francis Luis, Atlantic Bank security guard.

As we had reported earlier, the security guard had opened fire, wounding one of the assailants, Tyrone Wesby, 18. Wesby was taken by police to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and continues to recuperate from gunshot injuries to the arm. He is expected to be charged as soon as he is released.

On Friday, March 12, 2010, one of the three attackers, Telvin Abrahams, 18, was arraigned and charged for conspiracy to commit robbery .Additionally, Abrahams was charged for keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Surprisingly enough, Abrahams pleaded not guilty to all charges. At the time of his court appearance, he was unrepresented and no bail was offered. He was immediately remanded to the Hattieville Prison until May 18, 2010.

Abraham has a history for committing serious offences, and last year in September, he had met bail after three months on remand for a robbery.
