ORANGE WALK TOWN, Thurs. June 1, 2017–The Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) held championship games for its U-10 and U-12 competitions at the Technical Field on Saturday, May 27.
In the U-10 third place game, Real Madrid and Bel-A-Rose ended 1-1 in regulation. Haneel Pratt scored for Real Madrid, while Mark Bainton tallied for Bel-A-Rose. Bel-A-Rose proceeded to win, 3-2, in the penalty shootout. In the U-10 championship game which followed, Minions won, 5-0, over Progresso Rising Stars, with goals from Rydon Alvarez, Kendir Chi (3) and Zidane Carcanio.
The U-12 championship game was won by Tillett’s Bus Line, 5-0, over Sandy Field, with goals from Tyresse Augustine (2), Allyson Torres (2) and Raul Witzil.
