BELIZE CITY, Tues. May 7, 2024

The inaugural season of the Premier Women’s League of Belize (PWLB) continued over the weekend with its fourth week of games being played at different venues across the country. All 3 games were played on Saturday, May 4.

Sagitun Girlz hosted Caribbean Tires FC at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan, with the match finishing 4-nil in favor of Sagitun Girlz. Goal scorers for Sagitun Girlz were Jolene Aranda (13’ & 59’), Pauline Linarez (15’) and Kenia Perez (39’).

Rising Phoenix FC hosted Jewel Fury FC at the Carolina Football Field, and it was Jewel Fury finishing on top, 7-2, with goals from Khalydia Velasquez (9’, 27’, 49’ & 88’), Shendra Casimiro (44’ & 62’) and Elva Nunez (35’); while both Rising Phoenix goals were by Alisha Terry (28’ & 50’).

Old Capital Turf Warriors FC hosted Napoles FC at the Marion Jones Sports Complex, and the visitors came away with the 2-nil win, courtesy of a goal each from Roshanny Narvaez (27’) and Oddy Aguilar (88’).
