BELIZE CITY, Wed. June 1, 2022
At a press conference last
Wednesday morning around 10:00 a.m.
at its Belmopan headquarters, the
Football Federation of Belize (FFB)
presented the final selection of the
Belize U15 Girls National Team that will
be representing the country in upcoming
games between June 5 and 12 in Costa
Rica, where 7 teams will be involved in
a “preparation tournament” in advance
of the CONCACAF Girls U15
Championship involving 32 teams that
is scheduled to take place between July
31 and August 7 of this year in Tampa,
Florida, USA. The 7 teams in the
preparation tournament include 2 from
the Caribbean – Puerto Rico and
Dominican Republic, and 5 from
Central America – Costa Rica, El
Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and
Belize.
Belize has been placed in Group B
along with El Salvador and Dominican
Republic, and according to the latest
reports revealed by FFB Technical
Director, Phillip Marin, our Belize U15
girls will face El Salvador on Tuesday,
June 7, and then they take on the
Dominican Republic on Thursday, June
9.
The Belize U15 Girls National Team
features: goalkeepers – Allisha Alvarez
and Vadia Myvette; defenders –
Shanalee Smith, Jasha Bernardez,
Kristel Melchor, Tannaejah Castillo,
Marcelle Mar, Athiana Ovando,
Madison Hyde, Aireh King; midfielders
– Raquel Cal, Shamikah Pollard,
Jahxann Waight, Betsy Perez, Aisha
Flores, Lineth Chan, Janilyn Cal; and
forwards – Shakeisha Jones, Gianina
Menjivar, Kenya Perez and Alysha
Reymundo.
The Belize U15 Girls National Team
is coached by Joseph Waight, and his
assistant is Paul Casimiro.
