Saldivar traveled to Miami to pick up $50,000, Jacob Kingston testified

Breaking NewsSaldivar traveled to Miami to pick up $50,000, Jacob Kingston testified

Jacob Kingston is continuing his testimony in the Lev Dermen trial in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today marks the 4th day of Kingston’s testimony and once more, damning information has emerged involving the newly elected United Democratic Party leader, Minister John Saldivar. Information coming out of the trial is that Minister Saldivar had told Lev Dermen in 2014 that he needed money for a re-election campaign for him and three or four of his colleagues, whose names were not mentioned.

Kingston testified that Dermen offered to pay for the campaign. When Saldivar did not hear from Dermen, he allegedly texted Kingston on 11 February, 2014, telling him that he was nervous because he had not heard from Dermen, and that he really needed the money that Dermen had promised him. He asked Kingston if he could give him the money; Kingston testified that he offered to wire the money, but Saldivar did not want that. Kingston suggested that Saldivar travel to Miami on the following day, February 12, 2014, to pick up the money. Saldivar allegedly went and picked up $50,000 in cash from one of Dermen’s associates in Miami.
