The defending national champions, St Catherine Academy girls and the St. John’s College boys are leading with consecutive victories in the Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) 2024 volleyball competition, which began at the Swift Hall in Belize City on Tuesday afternoon, September 24.
The SCA girls debuted with a 26-24, 25-14 win over their rivals, the Belize High School girls last Tuesday; and they dominated the Wesley College girls, 25-2, 25-4, on Saturday morning, September 28.
Similarly, the SJC boys debuted with a 25-10, 25-17 win over the Nazarene High School boys last Tuesday evening, and also dominated the Gwen Liz boys, 25-11, 25-21, on Saturday afternoon, September 28.
Last Wednesday, the Edward P. Yorke High School girls enjoyed a 25-12, 25-21 win over the Pallotti High girls,
The Gwen Lizarraga High boys prevailed, 25-23, 26-24, over the E.P. Yorke boys last Wednesday, and they enjoyed their second win, 25-22, 25-7, over the Wesley boys on Tuesday evening, October 1.
The Anglican Cathedral College girls enjoyed their first victory, 25-7, 25-7, over the Wesley College girls on Thursday, and they also dominated the Nazarene High School girls, 25-10, 25-12, on Saturday morning.
The Wesley College boys outlasted the A.C.C. boys, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9, on Thursday evening.
The Nazarene High School boys enjoyed their first win, 25-17, 26-24, over the Wesley College boys on Saturday afternoon, and they outlasted the Belize High School boys, 25-23, 23-25, 15-12, on Wednesday evening, October 2.
The Pallotti girls scored their first win, 25-12, 25-15, over the Wesley College girls on Tuesday, October 1.
The Belize High School girls cruised to their first win, 25-14, 25-12, over the Nazarene High girls on Wednesday afternoon, October 2.
