GeneralSecurity guard drowns after suffering seizure

BELIZE CITY, Sun. Mar. 28, 2021– A 29-year-old man died on Sunday after suffering a seizure that caused him to fall into the water near a boatyard and drown.

Marc Russell, a security guard, was on duty at a boatyard in Belize when he suffered a seizure, fell near a boat, and hit his head. The injury and his state of impairment caused him to fall in the water, and ultimately he ended up under the boat and drowned.

The efforts by a colleague of his in the area to save his life were unsuccessful, because he was unable to take Russell out of the water.

At this time police do not suspect that there was any foul play.
