SIF assists San Jose Gov’t School

HighlightsSIF assists San Jose Gov’t School

Over 400 students of San Jose Government School in the Orange Walk District stand to benefit from a donation made to their school’s computer lab and audio/visual room today courtesy of a project implemented by the Social Investment Fund (SIF).

The state-of-the-art equipment consists of 17 new computers, a printer, a projector, and a digital camera.

According to a release from SIF, the equipment – which is valued at $46,250.00 – will enable students and teachers to connect to the super-highway of information technology, as well as equip them with computer literacy skills that will better prepare them for the future.

Amandala understands that the donation of the computers is a part of the San Jose Multi-purpose Building Project which was implemented by SIF in June 2013 in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Local Government, Rural Development and National Emergency Management and is financed by the Government of Belize through a loan from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) at a total cost of $484,743.00.
