SportsSmart Mundialito Week 4 results; reg. season ends with Week 5 this Saturday

BELIZE CITY, Sun. Nov. 12, 2017–The Smart 13 & Under Mundialito 2017 Closing Season regular competition was scheduled to end this past weekend with Week 4 and Week 5 games on Saturday and Sunday, respectively; but only the Saturday games were played, as the Sunday games were cancelled due to rain.

In game 1 on Saturday, Hattieville Riverside Boys bombed Ladyville Jaguars, 5-1, with 3 goals from Jose Almendarez and 2 from Jalen Young; while Kyle Garcia scored for the Jaguars.

Game 2 saw Heights FC and Sampson Academy ending in a 1-1 draw. Trimett Lopez shook the net for Heights, while Devin McCaulay, younger brother of Deon McCaulay, hit the target for Sampson.

In game 3, Benito Juarez scored the only goal, as Carlston FC clipped Warriors FC, 1-nil.

It was the same score in game 4, as Chris Maskall’s goal gave Collet FC the 1-0 win over Reality Youth.

And in game 5, BDF/Ladyville Rising Stars edged Brown Bombers, 1-0, on a goal by Kenrick Gordon.

The Week 4 game between Corinthians and RG City Boys United was postponed to allow City Boys players to attend a funeral. If necessary it will be played at a later date.
