Morgan Heritage, with their strong lyrics, positive vibration, and a original style of reggae music is going to be at the Civic Center, on Thursday, April 30th, 2009, for a concert that promises to be one of the best to ever touch Belize’s stage.
Many people in Belize and around the world are very familiar with this family band called Morgan Heritage. Morgan Heritage has been doing music since 1992 and are managed by their father Denroy Morgan who is also a very famous artist. One of Denroy Morgan’s more popular songs is “I’ll do anything for love” that he made in 1981. The band is made up of 4 brothers and 1 sister of the Morgan family, Peter Morgan, Una Morgan, Nakhamayah “Lukes” Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan. They carry a unique sound and their reggae music is intense soul carrying a roots reggae vibe. Their music sounds like a mixture of reggae, jazz, hip hop, and alternative making their music very recognizable and one of a kind.
This is a different style of entertainment, not the usual “bak it up” or “whine up yuh body” type of music but a cool conscious vibe. The choice of artist from the promoters is a direct result of everything happening in the world and in Belize today like the worldwide recession, the molestation of children, crime and relationship issues.
Morgan Heritage, on Thursday night at the Civic Center, will be very enjoyable and a hair raising live band performance Belizeans should come out to. It will be a positive event; no violence, pure love. There will also be performances by the hottest Belizean artists on the Scene, Mr. Program, Tanya Carter and Geo, there will be a full line up of Djs who will build the positive vibes before the main performances begin for he night. If a nice mature concert is what you want to attend, this is the event for you.
