DANGRIGA, Stann Creek District, Sun. Dec. 9, 2018– The regular season ended this weekend for the Stann Creek Football Association (SCFA) 1st Division Amateur September Season with Week 11 games on Friday, December 7, at the Carl Ramos Stadium; and the Week 12 best-of-2 games semifinal playoffs are scheduled for this coming weekend.

In the opener on Friday, Pomona Warriors over-powered Pomona Strikers, 6-3, with goals from Harrison Roches, Sr. (11’ & 80’), Orlando Acosta (27’), Yibemeh Lewis (68’ & 84’) and Gilbert Swazo (88’); while the strikers got a goal each from Jason Palacio (6’), Ashton Smith (60’) and Tyler Peters (89’).

The nightcap saw Silk Grass SG Ballers with the 3-1 win over Sarawee Strikers. Silk Grass goals came from Nigel Elijio (10’), Kenyon Lewis (36’) and Erickson Clark (90’); while Sarawee’s lone goal was by Travis Reynolds (42’).
The top four teams are now set for the best-of-two games semifinal playoff round this weekend at the Carl Ramos Stadium as follows:

Friday, December 14
6:30 p.m. – Pomona Impacts vs Pomona Warriors
8:30 p.m. – Silk Grass SG Ballers vs Hopkins Ibayani
Sunday, December 16
3:30 p.m. – Silk Grass SG Ballers vs Hopkins Ibayani
5:30 p.m. – Pomona Impacts vs Pomona Warriors

The two semifinal series winners, the teams with the best goal difference, will play for the first and second place prizes, while the two losers will play for third place.
