Dear Editor,
I was heartened by your recent editorial and its logical recommendations for a path forward. Now whether or not the omnipresent oligarchs can be pushed aside — and this only through the will of the people — remains to be seen.

As you implied, one thing is for sure — what we don’t need is being bamboozled by foreign developers who would have you believe that further investment in the tourist sector is a positive thing for the people of Belize.

Better to grow a potato than kiss a tourist’s ass!
