Sugar City Hoops Week 5 results

ORANGE WALK TOWN, Mon. Oct. 3, 2016–The Sugar City Hoops Basketball Tournament/Season continued with Week 5 games on Friday, September 30, at the Orange Walk Multi-Purpose Complex. In the opener, (17 & Under) East Coast Ballerz won, 53-38, over Muffles Bobcats. East Coast Ballerz was led by Norris Fisher 23 pts 10 rebs, and Kristan Puerto 13 pts 18 rebs; while for Muffles Bobcats, CJ Vasquez had 19 pts 6 rebs, and Kristian Cabrera 7 pts 13 rebs. And in the nightcap, (25 & Under) it was One Love, 71-48, over Devils. Leading One Love were Jerry Vasquez 22 pts, and Tyrone Baptist 14 pts 10 rebs; while Devils had Vicente Avila with 19 pts 7 rebs, and Bryton Rowley 10 pts 9 rebs.

Week 5 games continued on Saturday at the East Sports Center. In the opener, (17 & Under) Ever Ballaz dropped Technical HS, 45-36. Tyrique Dawson led Ever Ballaz with 21 pts 6 rebs, and Diego Alvarez added 9 pts, and Elrick Tillett had 8 pts 18 rebs; while for Technical HS had Clinton Shaw with 18 pts 10 rebs, and Henry Higinio 7 pts. In the nightcap, (25 & Under) Jumanji blew out Belize Road Bullets, 108 to 74. Top scorers for Jumanji were Roger Reneau 17 pts 7 rebs, Shemar White 15 pts 7 rebs, Charlton Flowers 15 pts, and Raul Vanegas 10 pts 6 rebs 7 assts; while Belize Road Bullets were led by Brandon McKoy 16 pts 5 rebs, Hansworth Gillett 15 pts, and Andre Almendarez 11 pts 11 rebs 4 blks.
