Woman, 30, hangs herself

The family of Jorjana Eiley, 30, of the Boca Del Rio area of San Pedro, are mourning her death after she was found dead with a belt tied around her neck, lying on her bed. She had apparently suspended herself from the beam over her bed with a belt that had burst due to her weight.

The terrible discovery was made by Jorjana’s sister at about 10:00 yesterday morning, Sunday.

Police say that when Jorjana’s sister went to visit her and entered her room, she found her sister lying on the left side of the bed with the belt tied around her neck, and a portion of the belt across the beam of the house.

Jorjana Eiley was last seen alive earlier on Saturday night when she was out socializing in San Pedro. The incident apparently occurred sometime after she arrived home early Sunday morning,

Jorjana was taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic, but was declared dead on arrival. Her body was then taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue, where it awaits a post-mortem to certify the cause of death.

Police said that no signs of violence were seen on her body, and foul play is not suspected.
