Thumbs up for Senator Mark Lizarraga and Thumbs down for Senator Aldo Salazar

GeneralThumbs up for Senator Mark Lizarraga and Thumbs down for Senator Aldo Salazar

Our disappointing Belizean of 2019 is Senator Aldo Salazar. Senator Aldo receives a monthly salary from the people’s purse and is tasked with compiling and presenting a report on the Senate’s investigation into wrongdoing by government ministers in the disgraceful, dangerous passport scandal, but he is behaving in a manner that suggests he is maybe being paid by another purse to drag his feet on the report so it doesn’t see the light of day.

Our most encouraging Belizean of 2019 is Senator Mark Lizarraga, the representative in the Senate for the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Belize Business Bureau. The senator is a fearless and tireless worker, and he doesn’t shy away from issues that are not strictly the concern of the people who sent him to the Upper House. Keep up the good work, Senator! Belize needs more leaders like you.
