BELIZE CITY, Mon. July 14, 2025

Tut Bay FC and Survivors FC of Belize City both enjoyed big wins in 2 back-matches in the William Dawson Peace Cup football tournament at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City on Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13.

On Saturday morning, Tyrique “Hammer” Ciego’s brace (44’ & 86’) led the Survivors FC in a 3-1 romp over Grave Yard FC, after Trey Gentle (15’) had scored the first goal. Darison Ramos’ penalty (29’ PK) had temporarily equalized at 1-1 for Grave Yard.

Jareth “Booh” Tablada and Kevaun Reyes pressed the Grave Yard offensive in the hope of more goals, supported by Raheim Herbert, Kevin Espinosa and Dennison Estrada at midfield. Dario Williams and Sean Pitters came off the bench to help, but to no avail.

Shemar “Sap” Gillett, Jaymion Cacho, Marvin Flowers and Albert Davis supported Ciego and Gentle’s attack, while Shawn Roches and Peter Morgan anchored Survivors’ defense. Corey Perteau, Nicolo Rudon and Misael Muñoz came off the bench to reinforce the defensive line and to help Man of the Match goalkeeper Mikol Martinez concede no more goals. Edwardo Alvarez and Ron Thomas joined the attack to remain on the offensive to the final whistle.

On Sunday morning, Raymond “Juny” Gentle’s brace (30’ & 53’) led Tut Bay FC to a 3-1 win over the Rookies FC of the old Maskall Road, with Gilroy “Laing” Thurton (50’) coming off the bench to extend the lead after the break. Calvin Thurton and Dylan Belisle pressed home Tut Bay’s attack, and Shemar “Busta” Thomas, Orlando “Bredda” Velasquez, Michael Martinez and Ronald Flowers came off the bench to keep the pressure on until the final whistle.

Only Paschalito Uyamadu (35’) scored for the village boys. Kevin Young and Augustine Smith led the Rookies’ attacks, and Kyle Humes, Daniel Aldana and Nehmias Menjivar came off the Rookies’ bench to help.
