The defending CYDP Peace Cup champions, Tut Bay FC are leading the Belize District Football Association’s (BDFA) First Division competition undefeated, as they enjoyed their 5th win, 2-1, over Hattieville United, as the tournament continued in its 5th week at the Marion Jones Sports Complex on Saturday and Sunday evenings, December 28-29.
In Game 1 on Saturday, Whitfield Fisher’s late penalty (87’) salvaged a 3-3 draw for the Kelly Street Bombers out of the jaws of defeat by the Survivors FC, who had led 3-2 with Keron “Benny” Sutherland’s brace (33’ & 57’), after Troy Augustine (27’) had equalized at 1-1 from the penalty spot. Tyreek “Pippin” Muschamp (13’) had struck first for Kelly Street, and Steven “Bredds” Baizar (40’) equalized at 2-2.
In Game 2, Calvin Thurton (19’) and Esmond “Bagga” Sanker (68’) gave Tut Bay FC a 2-0 lead over Hattieville United Youth Sporting Club, until Lebron Robinson (88’) converted a penalty.
In Game 1 on Sunday evening, Brandon Smith (72’) and Kenrick Timmons (87’) salvaged the Old Road Defenders’ 2-2 draw with Lake-I FC, after Akeem Baptist’s brace (52’ & 63’) gave Lake-I a 2-0 lead
And in Sunday’s nightcap, the Reggae Boyz enjoyed their 2nd win, 3-1, over Caesar Ridge FC, with goals by Jaymion Cacho (9’), Trey Gentle (47’) and Dion Cacho (17’) converted a penalty. Only Denroy McCord (53’) scored for Caesar Ridge.
