Tut Bay FC – BDFA First Division 2024-2025 Closing Season Champions

BELIZE CITY, Mon. June 9, 2025

Tut Bay FC won the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) First Division 2024-2025 Closing Season championship at the Marion Jones Stadium in Belize City on Sunday evening, June 8.

In Game 1, the consolation match for 3rd place, Kelly Street Bombers dominated Reggae Boyz, 4-1, with goals by Dylan Flores (6’), Steven “Bredds” Baizar (27’), Lemar Whyte (42’) and Francis “Franco” Andrews (83’). Only Trey Gentle (36’) scored a consolation goal for the Reggae Boyz.

Caesar Ridge FC – BDFA First Division 2024-2025 Closing Season Sub-Champions

In Game 2, the championship final, Tut Bay cruised to a 3-1 victory over Caesar Ridge FC, to claim the championship trophy and the $3,000 first prize with goals by Tom Moguel (10’), Devin Thurton (53’), and Shemar “Busta” Thomas (55’). Only Whitfield Fisher (70’) scored a late penalty for Caesar Ridge FC, who took home the $2000 2nd prize.

BDFA executive committee member Ian Gaynair presented team trophies and individual medals to the champions and sub-champions in the awards ceremony after the final.

Individual awards:  MVP Regular Season – Lawnie Leslie (CRFC); MVP Playoffs – Tom Moguel (Tut Bay); Most Goals – Calvin Thurton (Tut Bay); Best Forward – Devin McCaulay (CRFC); Best Midfielder – Kenan Zuniga (CRFC); Best Defense – Shemar Waight (CRFC); Best Goalkeeper – Tyrone Alvarez (Tut Bay); Best Coach – Jason “Buju” Gabb (Tut Bay); Best Manager – Mikhail Chavez (Tut Bay); Fair Play Award (best sportsmanship) – Caesar Ridge FC.

Tut Bay FC will join the BDFA 2024-2025 Opening Season champions, Survivors FC in the National Amateur Interdistrict Championship competition, to be organized by the Football Federation of Belize.
