Two drug planes tracked to Belize, but landed in neighboring countries

CHUNOX, Corozal District, Tues. July 21, 2020– Two suspected drug planes were tracked from South America into Belizean territory. Police were deployed to the Chunox and Little Belize areas of the Corozal District.

Residents of Chunox  told police that on Sunday evening, they saw a jet circling low in the area.

Yesterday, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams said that one of the planes landed in Guatemala, and the other landed in Mexico. He said that the presence of police in the area cased the planes to be diverted.
