ORANGE WALK TOWN, Thurs. Jan. 24, 2019– The Orange Walk Football Association’s (OWFA) U-10 and U-13 2018-2019 Opening Season competitions were completed on Saturday, January 19, at People’s Stadium with third place and championship games.

In the U-10 3rd Place game, San Estevan drew, 1-1, with Orange Walk Central.  Keadraun Cadle scored for San Estevan, while Pedro Pineda Quinones tallied for Orange Walk Central.  San Estevan won, 4-2, in the penalty shoot-out.

The U-13 3rd Place game was a 0-0 stalemate in regulation, with Trinidad winning, 3-1, over Minions by penalties.

In the U-10 championship game, Tillet’s Bus prevailed, 3-1, over Rising Stars. Adid Torres scored 2 and Andrew Tzul got the other goal for Tillet’s Bus, while Diby Vasquez got the only goal for Rising Stars.

And the U-13 championship ended scoreless in regulation, with San Estevan emerging 5-4 winners over Ladyville Rising Stars in the penalty shootout.

U-10, U-13, U-15 (M/F) and U-17 (M/F) teams are asked to send in registration forms for club license and players by Monday, January 28. The tournaments are scheduled to kick off on Sunday, February 3.
