The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the official opening of the Women’s History Month Art Exhibit “Expressions” by Women in Belize at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development in Belmopan on Tuesday, March 11.
Mrs. Gwynneth Dieter, wife of U.S. Ambassador Robert J. Dieter, will provide opening remarks to commemorate the celebration of Women’s History Month.
The exhibit features female artists and demonstrates the vitality, creativity, and diversity of female talent in Belize. The exhibit is a tribute to all women and their exemplary strength and ability not only in art, but also in life.
Seven artists will participate in the exhibit curated by Mr. Gilvano Swasey of the Image Factory. They are Carolyn Carr, Deborah Gail Cooper, Mrs. David Dyck, Rachel Heusner, Lita Krohn, Michele Perdomo and Mercy Sabal.
