SAN IGNACIO TOWN, Cayo District, Sun. Dec. 1, 2024

The Champions for Climate Change Basketball Tournament tipped off its best-of-three playoff series this past weekend at the Victor Galvez Stadium in San Ignacio Town. Undefeated MIDH were crowned champions in the Amateur Division, while Elite are the champions for the Under-15 category. Below are the scores and series standings in the remaining categories.

Friday, November 29

GAME 1 – (Under-12) #2 Tyre Center Warriors/OBs OJ won, 12-9, over #1 Guava Limb. TC Warriors – Arden Boiton 8 pts, Liam Dacak 2 pts, Aiden Pinelo 2 pts; Guava Limb – Amid Juan 9 pts.
Tyre Center Warriors/OBs OJ are the Under-12 Champions.

GAME 2 – (Under-21) #1 Underdogs won, 55-44, over #2 Vegan Roots Brotherhood. Underdogs – Tayshaun “Pawdy” Haylock 23 pts, Kishawn Usher 9 pts, Jayden Garcia 6 pts, Randy Henry 6 pts; Vegan Roots B. – Tas-I-Manra Kwatamani 13 pts, Luis Sosa 12 pts, Corey Garbutt 11 pts.

Underdogs lead the best-of-three series, 1-0.
