I was watching an interview with one Patrick Menzies; oh, his title is: President, Alliance of Ministers and Leaders of Belize. I suppose he’s a religious minister, and I’m betting the only news he watches is Fox News, which is a joke, since nothing about Fox is news, all right-wing propaganda for the unwashed and uneducated masses. They had to pay almost a billion dollars for propagating election lies, and they haven’t learned anything from past mistakes. It is the favorite channel for these hard-right Christians, which is the way Mr. Menzies is portrayed in the interview! By the way, Mr. Menzies, I will choose Al Jazeera and BBC news every day over your news sources, which are clearly lying to you. You want us to believe you, and not what we are seeing with our own lying eyes!
Everyone who has eyes can see the devastation heaped upon the people of Gaza! The destruction is carried live on television every day; the destruction, the death, ESPECIALLY OF CHILDREN, cannot be whitewashed by your blind loyalty to your religious beliefs. The starvation, the lack of hospitals and medical services, the stampedes to get to the food drops over Gaza, are so heartbreakingly painful and disgusting to watch! After this massacre is over, the government of Israel will hopefully be held accountable for all the war crimes committed as revenge for losing 1,400 of their own. These unforgivable acts of terror rained on the Palestinians cannot be excused because Hamas invaded Israel and committed acts of terror. Netanyahu should have gone after Hamas, not try to get rid of every Palestinian living in Gaza, which belongs to them, not to Israel. Read your history and study geography, Mr. Menzies!
He claims that God gave Israel that land. Really? Did God give us Belize? No, we were brought here as slaves and made it the Jewel it was, and hopefully still is! Instead of defending a government that is perpetrating genocide on brown people like you, you let religion blind you to the facts that are obvious to the whole world. Israel has lost its way, forgetting its own history dealing with racism and oppression, and in my opinion, are as equally cruel as those who have tried to wipe them off the face of the earth, for centuries! The Israeli government, that is.
Where’s your empathy for the people of Gaza? Jesus taught us to love one another. Hate has no place in Christianity; but boy, do you people preach hate! Hate this one and that one and then the other. As I’ve said many times before, if Jesus came back right now, he’d be rejected and arrested by right-wing churches and their clueless followers. He’d be too woke!
Instead of denying facts and the obvious injustices that the Palestinians are now enduring, you should show empathy and solidarity with them in their fight for justice, and for their own homeland, like we are in Belize right now, against Guatemala! Take off those blinders and see the world as it is, not the fantasy promised by scam artists who would have one believe all the garbage they spew!
