Verdes FC enjoyed the only win of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) football semifinal playoffs, 1-0, over Progresso FC at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town on Sunday evening, April 6.

Krisean Lopez’ 59th minute penalty conversion was enough for the ‘Green Machine’ to celebrate a 1-0 win over Progresso FC, who must now seek a bigger win in Saturday’s rematch.

On Saturday night out on la Isla Bonita, Latrell Middleton’s 79th minute strike salvaged a 1-1 draw and kept the undefeated streak alive for the defending champions, Port Layola FC, after Bryan Chavez (45+1’) had given the San Pedro Pirates a 1-0 lead going into intermission.
