The National Amateur Women’s League (NAWL) returned to action over the weekend with Week 3 games in its 2022 Closing Season. Group A consists of 3 teams – Verdes Rebels, Rumberas, and Sagitun Girlz; while 5 teams are in Group B – Cayo Dreamers, Napoles FC, Guardian FC, Millenium Fusion, and Wagiya SC.

In Group A, with kickoff time at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, at the Norman Broaster Stadium, home team Verdes Rebels prevailed, 4-0, over Rumberas from Mango Creek, Independence with one goal from Shantel Robinson (14’), and a hat trick from Jessie McLaughlyn (32’, 39’ & 64’).

Also on Saturday, in a Group B match starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City, it was visiting Napoles FC coming away with the 2-0 victory over home standing Millenium Fusion, courtesy of a goal each from Marjorie Sanchez (24’) and Marleny Rosa (77’).

The only NAWL game on Sunday was a Group B encounter starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio where Cayo Dreamers dropped Wagiya SC, 3-0, with goals from Natasha Tillett (49’ & 85’) and Daysi Paiz (73’).

4:00 p.m. – (A) Verdes Rebels vs Sagitun Girlz – Norman Broaster Stadium

Sunday, November 20
3:00 p.m. – (B) Guardian FC vs Cayo Dreamers – Marion Jones Sports Complex
3:00 p.m. – (B) Napoles FC vs Wagiya SC – Isidoro Beaton Stadium
