Belize submits provisional roster for Central American Cup

BELIZE CITY—We didn’t receive the list this week from the FFB, but the CONCACAF web site, concacaf.com, says that all 7 UNCAF countries had submitted their provisional team rosters on Monday of this week “for the Central American Cup Tigo 2014 USA, to be played September 3-13 in the United States.”

According to the concacaf.com release, each team is “permitted to include up to 50 players in their initial lists. Each nation must cut its roster to 23 by September 1, 48 hours ahead of the opening series of matches scheduled for RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.”

From what we saw, Costa Rica submitted 50 names, El Salvador – 40, Guatemala – 50, Honduras – 30, Nicaragua – 41, Panama – 47, and Belize – 31.

The players presently on the Belize list are: (GK) Woodrow West; Frank Lopez; Shane Orio; (DF) Dalton Eiley; Ian Gaynair; Evral Reginald Trapp; Elroy Smith; Leon Kennedy Cadle; Felix Salvador Miranda; (MF) Andres Makin; Harrison Roches; Cristobal Gilharry; Denmark Casey; Amin Paul August; Daniel Jimenez; Delone Darren Torres; Trevor Lennon; David Andy Trapp; Elroy Kuylen, Jr.; John King; Edmond Pandy, Jr.; Khalil Velasquez; (FW) Deon McCaulay; Jarret Nicholas Davis; Evan Mariano; Highking Roberts; Jerome James; Rollin Ezekiel Burgess; Randy Padilla; Russell Cassanova; Clifton Jair West.

Belize plays Honduras on September 3, Guatemala on September 7, and El Salvador on September 10.
