Man busted with firearm by Village Chairman

CrimeMan busted with firearm by Village Chairman

A villager of Indian Church in the Orange Walk District is being sought by police after he was busted with a gun by Mauricio Aquillar, the Village Chairman, who is a Special Police Constable.

Aquillar has since handed over the gun to police and police are looking for the man to charge him with the firearm-related offences.

Aquillar said that at about 5:30 yesterday evening, he was on patrol in the village when he saw the village resident with a shotgun in his hand. He approaches the villager and took the shotgun from him and informed him of the offense that he had committed.
