A policeman and his brother were hurt after they were attacked at a bar in Concepcion by two men of the village.

Police Constable Javier Noble suffered a large cut wound to the head, while his brother, Angel Noble, 18, was cut in the right side of the head. They were both taken to the Corozal Hospital, and afterwards, PC Javier Noble was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment.

The incident occurred at about 11:00 last night. According to police, the two Noble brothers had been involved in a brawl with some men, who inflicted the cut wounds on them.

Police have announced that two men have been detained in connection with the incident.
