ORANGE WALK TOWN, Tue. Oct. 11, 2016–The Sugar City Hoops Basketball Tournament/Season continued over the weekend with Week 6 games on Friday and Saturday nights at the East Sports Center.

In the opener on Friday, October 7, (17 & Under) Technical HS won, 54-40, over Muffles Bobcats. Top scorers for Technical HS were Clinton Shaw 25 pts (game high) 3 rebs 5 stls 3 assts, Vijay Young 14 pts 7 rebs 2 stls, and David Smith 5 pts 2 stls; while for Muffles Bobcats, Kristian Cabrera had 15 pts 13 rebs 2 stls, C.J. Vasquez 10 pts 7 rebs 4 assts 2 stls, and Dickerson Li 6 pts 12 rebs. And in the nightcap, (25 & Under) Jumanji dropped One Love, 84-63. Leading Jumanji were Roger Reneau 21 pts 9 rebs 4 stls 3 assts, Craig Cooper 21 pts 8 rebs, and Shemar White 19 pts 11 rebs 4 stls 3 assts; while One Love was led by Tyrone Baptist 21 pts 7 rebs 4 stls, Dedron Baptist 15 pts 2 rebs 5 stls 3 assts, and Kevin Rampassard 12 pts 7 rebs 2 stls.

In Saturday’s opener, (17 & Under) Ever Ballaz got the 48-40 win over East Coast Ballerz. For Ever Ballaz, Roel Cabrera had 17 pts, Tyrique Dawson 14 pts 7 rebs 2 stls 6 assts, and Emmanuel Torres 8 pts 2 rebs 2 stls 3 assts; while East Coast Ballerz had Norris Fisher with 19 pts (game high) 14 rebs 3 stls 2 assts 2 blks, Javier Rosado, Jr. 8 pts 2 assts, and Erick Luna 6 pts 7 rebs 2 stls. And in the nightcap, (25 & Under) Belize Road Bullets won by default (20-0), since Devils did not appear.
