The Precinct 1 police of Belize City are on the lookout for a thief or thieves who burglarized the home of a woman, 35, of, Queen Charlotte Street, Belize City, sometime between 11:40 Friday night and 8:40 Saturday morning. The thieves stole a licensed gun, among other items, which together totaled over $10,000 in value.

The woman reported that upon her arrival at her home on Saturday morning, she discovered that someone had broken into the house and had stolen her licensed 9mm pistol with S/N B213852 and a magazine loaded with12 – 9mm live rounds, which had a combined value of $2,750; two laptop computers; one a black Toshiba computer valued at $1,300, and a silver and black Dell computer valued at $1,200.

The thieves also stole a thick gold-link chain valued at $2,000, a gold bracelet valued at $1,000, a thin gold chain valued at $250, a gold ring studded with white stones valued at $250, a gold ring with white stones valued at $150, and four watches valued at $450.

Also stolen was an assortment of Brazilian gold-plated jewelry totaling approximately $800 in value. All the stolen items together totaled $11,150 in value.

The public’s assistance is being sought to find the thief or thieves. Anyone with information that can lead to the recovery of the stolen items and the gun or information that could lead to the arrest of the thieves, is urged to contact the Precinct 1 Police Station at phone number 207-0401 or the nearest police station, or 0800-922-TIPS.
