TRIAL FARM, Orange Walk District, Mon. Nov. 30, 2020– A man was shot last evening by one of two men who showed up at his home in Trial Farm Village, under the pretense of buying marijuana.

The victim has been identified as Elroy Arnold, 27, and investigators are now left to determine if the attack was drug-related, or because he and several other persons had been recently acquitted of a murder.

On Sunday, November 29, police visited the Northern Regional Hospital and found Arnold suffering from gunshot injuries in the right side of the chest, arms and upper back.

Preliminary information suggests that Arnold was in front of his residence when two dark-complexioned men arrived, saying they wanted to buy marijuana, and whilst taking to one of them, the other man pulled out a firearm and shot Arnold four times in the body.

The men then both rode off on separate bicycles.
