A week after accidentally running over a 4-year-old girl she was taking care of at the National Showgrounds in Belmopan, a Roaring Creek woman has been arrested for a string of traffic offenses.
Yvette Bush, 37, faces single counts of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, and driving a motor vehicle while not holding a valid driver’s license.
Bush is accused of fatally knocking down preschooler Dalilah Chiac, of Roaring Creek. Chiac was assisting Bush’s children in setting up her booth at the grounds for the National Agriculture and Trade Show that weekend.
Chiac sustained severe head and body injuries and died en route to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan that evening.
