Corozal police on hunt for Magdaleonie Tzul

CrimeCorozal police on hunt for Magdaleonie Tzul

Corozal police are seeking Magdaleonie Tzul to arrest him on charges of theft and damage to property after he smashed the window of a vehicle owned by Can Jin Chen, 30, a businessman of 5th Avenue, Corozal Town.

Tzul also stole an MP3 player valued at $30, a USB flash drive valued at $30, and the vehicle battery, valued at $300 – all totaling $660 in estimated value.

The incident occurred between 9:00 Friday night and 8:00 Saturday morning on 5th Street in Corozal. The businessman reported that he parked his vehicle in front of his yard and went into his house and retired for the night.

On Saturday morning, he checked his vehicle and found his gypsy window, valued at $300, broken and various items he owned were missing out of his vehicle.

Police reviewed surveillance footage taken by security cameras, and were able to identify Magdaleonie Tzul, whom they recognized from previous interaction with him, as the thief.

In reviewing the surveillance footage, police saw Tzul approach the vehicle with a bucket and a hose at about 3:30 Saturday morning. He then forced off the gas tank cover, inserted the hose and stole fuel out of the gas tank.

The thief then broke the gypsy window and gained entry into the vehicle, from which he stole the items that were inside.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding Magdaleonie Tzul.

Anyone who sees or knows the whereabouts of Tzul, or has information that could lead to his capture, is urged to contact the nearest police station, or call 911.
