BELMOPAN, Fri. July 31, 2020– The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) is proud to announce that Coach Dale Pelayo has been appointed as Head Coach for the Male Senior National “A” Team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. Following the new format announced by Concacaf earlier this week, Belize is scheduled to play four matches, two home and away in October 2020, and two matches in November 2020. The qualifiers are scheduled for 5th & 13th October and the 9th and 17th November 2020. The Football Federation of Belize has been meeting to develop a well sought out plan for the “A” National Team.

Coach Dale Daniel Pelayo, Sr. is a Belizean coach who was born on 2nd March 1977. His coaching qualifications include 2019 Concacaf “C” License, 2018 Concacaf “D” License, 2018 FIFA Advance and 2018 FIFA Youth. Currently, he is working towards his Concacaf “B” License.

Coach Dale has also served in various coaching capacities, which include Assistant Coach, Bandits SC (Premier League of Belize, 2017-2018); Head Coach, Belmopan Elite Male U15 (2018); Head Coach, Belize National Male U16 (2018); Head Coach, Wagiya FC (Premier League of Belize, 2019); Head Coach, Belize National Male U17 (2019); Head Coach, Belize National Male U18 (UNCAF sub champions, 2019); and Head Coach, Belize National Male U19 (2020). Additionally, Coach Pelayo also brings his experience as a player, as he played on several national teams, including Belize’s U19, U21, U23 and Senior “A” Team.
We take this opportunity to welcome Coach Pelayo in his new capacity as Head Coach for the Male Senior National team.
