In Orange Walk, crowds drinking in front of stores and homes

LettersIn Orange Walk, crowds drinking in front of stores and homes

Dear Editor,
The pandemic is getting worse for us, and people are suffering and dying.

However, as you drive around Orange Walk Town, you see crowds of people drinking in front of homes and Chinese stores with their masks positioned on their faces as “chin straps.”

No wonder we are number one in infections – people are behaving too foolishly. They seem to think that the coronavirus is some kind of “jokey disease,” like the common cough or cold.

GOB has to ensure that the laws are followed by prodding the Police Department to do their job. No public drinking! This would help a lot to stem the pandemic.

Regards,
Romel Cuello
