The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) sponsored National U13 Girls Elite Championship 2022 kicked off on Saturday, October 15, with teams representing all 10 football regions engaged in Week 1 games at five different venues across the country, all games starting at 2:00 p.m. Below are the results.
At the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga, home team Stann Creek secured a 2-1 victory over Belmopan. Jolene Aranda (18’ & 21’) netted both goals for Stann Creek, while Emely Rodriguez (45’) scored for Belmopan.
Further south at the Victor Sanchez Field in Punta Gorda, it was the visiting Mid-South shutting out Toledo, 5-0, with goals from Amara Coe (13’), Riann Acal (25’ & 44’) and Haylee Villanueva (50’ & 57’).
Up north at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk, the visitors also prevailed, as Corozal won, 2-1 over Orange Walk. Yancy Chan (17’ & 46’) struck twice for Corozal, while Orange Walk’s lone goal was by Ziany Santos (30’).
The invaders maintained the upper hand out west at the Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo, where Cayo bombed Benque Viejo, 11-0, with goals coming from Jahxann Waight (1’ & 54’), Aneeke Mesa (2’, 6’, 7’, 11’ & 47’), Eva Chuc (9’), Jemma August (19’), Marley Garcia (22’) and Tiana Labriel (36’).
It was a keenly contested match here at the MCC Grounds in Belize City where the San Pedro visitors scored first but the home team Belize eventually prevailed, 3-2. Shaking the net for Belize were Oceanna Castillo (30’), Maleah Bladen (33’) and Amina Burgess (51’); while San Pedro’s goals were by Tamile McCauley (18’) and Teresita Diaz (49’).

(N.B. Apparently, the Ricalde Stadium is not available for the U13 game in Corozal, which, according to FFB sources, will be played at “a pitch there” at the Andres Campos Civic Center.)
