BECOL supervisor killed by car robbers

GeneralBECOL supervisor killed by car robbers

BENQUE VIEJO DEL CARMEN, Fri. May 28, 2021– The police are currently investigating an aggravated robbery that resulted in the murder of BECOL operations supervisor Wayne Emmanuel Cadle, 49. Reports are that on Friday, May 28, shortly after 9:00 p.m., police, acting on reports they received, went to a Riverside Street address in Benque Viejo Town, where they found the motionless body of Cadle with gunshot wounds.

A police investigation revealed that when Cadle exited his white 2020 double-cab Foton L/P on that street, he was ambushed by three men. Police believe that their motive may have been to steal the car. One of the men then fired a shot in Cadle’s direction, resulting in his death.

The men then proceeded to enter Cadle’s car, in which they escaped. When police arrived at the scene, Cadle was transported to Western Regional Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. At this time his vehicle remains missing. Police believe that criminal elements from across the border may have been involved in this recent incident.

Police are investigating a number of thefts and robberies that have recently taken place in that same area. At this time they are also trying to find out whether Cadle was alone in the hours prior to his death.
