CrimeCop jailed for allegedly pointing gun at football fans

Amandala understands that a police officer who is attached to the Special Branch Unit at the Intermediate Southern Command in the Independence Village Police Formation is currently behind bars after he unjustifiably pulled a firearm at civilians from Red Bank Village in Stann Creek on Sunday, May 25.

Although information remains sketchy at this time, and there has been no official mention of the incident in the daily police reports, we were able to confirm that the officer has been remanded on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.

The alleged incident is reported to have happened at a football game in Red Bank, and the officer, who was reportedly attending the football marathon at the time, took out his firearm, for reasons unknown to us, and pointed it at an unspecified group of individuals, who were also at the event.

Unconfirmed reports, however, allege that the officer – who we understand has been serving in the Police Department for 6 years – was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Amandala has since been trying to find out more about the incident from the department, but so far we have only gotten the usual “runaround.”
