It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of George “Beaver” Douglas Hyde, 76, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Monday, June 24, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hall Hyde, and their three children, David Hyde of Oradell New Jersey, Mark Hyde of Belize City and Kyle Hyde of Landolakes, Florida. George was the youngest brother of Charles Bartlett Hyde of Belize City and uncle to Amandala publisher, Evan X Hyde. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. John’s Cathedral, Belize City, at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at the private cemetery at Mile 8.
