BELIZE CITY, Mon. Apr. 28, 2025

Gregory “Belizean Bullet” Lovell of Team Lovell won the annual Weekend Warriors Cross Country Cycling Classic, riding 63 miles from the junction with the Iguana Creek bridge to Spanish Lookout on the George Price Highway to the Mile 8 roundabout, via the John Smith bypass to the airport access road and on to the Philip Goldson Highway, to finish at San Cas Plaza in Belize City on Sunday morning, April 27.

Below are the top finishers and their prizes in the different Weekend Warrior race categories:

A-Category: 1st Place – Gregory Lovell (Team Lovell, 2:50:00, $1,000 & trophy); 2nd – Sam Vallecillo (Team Santino’s, $500 & trophy); 3rd – Darien Anderson (Bundle of Joy Club, $300 & trophy); 4th – Kent “Bob” Gabourel (Team SPD, $200 & medal); 5th – Henry Moriera (Bundle of Joy Club, $100 & medal); 6th – Kenroy “Smokes” Gladden (Team SPD, $50 & medal); 7th – Jose Choto (Team Troyer’s Treats, $50 & medal); 8th – Brandon Cattouse (Running Rebels, $50 & medal); 9th – Sherman Thomas ($50 & medal); 10th – Shawn Gordon (Team Santino’s, $50 & medal).
