Mother to missing Tiffany Mendez, 13: ?Please come home!!?

GeneralMother to missing Tiffany Mendez, 13: ?Please come home!!?

The mother suspects that Tiffany is in the company of Liona Smith, 14, another student of Gwen Lizarraga High, who also has been missing since Monday. Both students were last seen somewhere on Central American Boulevard on Monday morning near a payphone, said police.

Earlene said that she just wants her daughter to come home. She said that she sees no reason why Tiffany would want to leave her home.

According to Earlene, on Monday morning, at about 7:00, she along with her husband, Tiffany?s stepfather, left the house to go to work, and Tiffany was getting ready for school.

She was expected to take the bus with an aunt, who lives in another house in the yard, but a check with the aunt that day revealed that Tiffany had left home alone, because her aunt was late.

The mother knows that her daughter left the house and caught the bus in her school uniform, and made it to the City, because she had heard from police that her daughter was seen in Smith?s company.

Earlene said that when she left home that morning, she only gave her daughter $3.00 to buy her lunch at school. Her mother is hopeful and prays to see her come home, as she celebrates her 14thbirthday on Monday, January 17.

Earlene recalled that on Sunday, January 9, the day before school reopened, Liona had visited Tiffany at home, and the girls spoke at the gate.

Tiffany?s mother said that she took a few pieces of her clothes when she went away, and a picture of her father is also missing. Tiffany could be heading for Mexico, where he lives.

The mother of her friend, Liona, lives in Canada, and Earlene, in a conversation she had with her daughter, learned that Liona wanted to find her mother.

Tiffany is of East Indian descent, about 5 feet 1 inch in height, and is of slim build. She was last seen wearing her uniform, a white blouse and pleated brown skirt, with black shoes.
