ORANGE WALK TOWN, Mon. Apr . 25, 2022 — After a break for the Easter holidays, the Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) resumed its 2021-2022 1st Division Amateur Closing Season tournament with Week 4 games on Saturday and Sunday at the Louisiana Football Field. Below are the results.

Saturday, April 23
In the opener at 7:00 p.m., San Antonio FC shut out Louisiana FC, 3-0, with goals from Nigel Tillett (33’) and Darrol Lambey (87’ & 89’).

And in the nightcap it was Caribbean Rum Boys, 4-0, over Guinea Grass FC, with goals coming from Raheim Eagan (22’ & 45’), Camilo Sanchez (13’) and Enrique Valdez (86’).

Sunday, April 24
In game 1 at 9:00 in the morning, Progresso FC blanked San Francisco FC, 5-0, with goals coming from Richard Omoruyi (57’ & 64’), Rigoberto Cardenas (62’), Esmir Patt (72’) and Nestor Heredia (75’).

Game 2 was a 4-1 win for Palmar FC over Yo Creek La Ceiba. Scoring for Palmar were Ian Chi (9’ & 75’ PK) and Marcos Alvarez (50’ & 58’), while Yo Creek’s lone goal was by Zamir Bonilla (25’).

In game 3, first half goals from Phillip Rhaburn (6’) and Kieron Miranda (35’) gave Carmelita FC the 2-0 win over Charles Cave Tubing FC.

Game 4 saw Young Ballers FC gaining the 1-0 victory over Galacticos FC with a goal from Rodolfo Argueta (50’).

And in the final game of the afternoon, it was Trial Farm Jaguars FC prevailing, 5-2, over Guinea Grass Lazio FC. Shaking the net for Trial Farm were Mark Hemsley (35’ & 43’), Vance Waight (51’), Jilmer Cansino (79’) and Jahil Novelo (80’); Guinea Grass goals were by Jason Vanegas (78’) and Deyni Batun (90’).
