BELIZE CITY, Thurs. June 23, 2022
Originally scheduled for last Friday, June 17, a press release from the National Sports Council (NSC) just before midday on that Friday informed that the night’s semifinal games were postponed because “one of the teams in the semifinals has players that have tested positive for COVID-19 today, and as recent as last night conducted practice sessions. As a result, the entire team has been exposed.” The release went on to say that the “games will resume after COVID-19 negative results are confirmed next week.”
The semifinals were rescheduled to this coming Friday, June 24, and as of this afternoon we were informed by Sports Council personnel that the games are still on.
So, it’s semifinal action tomorrow night at Mexico Sports Center in the NSC Recreation & Wellness Basketball Tournament 2022.

Friday, June 24
7:00 p.m. – Belize City Council “Dragons” vs Customs & Excise Department
8:15 p.m. – National Sports Council “Valley” vs Digi
