SportsResults of Santino?s Non-Elite Saturday Race of Sept. 4

Returning through Hattieville, at Mile 10 on the Western Highway, George Abraham, riding for Santino?s, got away solo, and when he was caught at Mile 5, Leroy ?Lyrics? Trapp, also riding for Santino?s, then attacked to come in solo for first place, crossing the finish line by the old George August meat shop. In the sprint that followed, 17-year-old Darnel Barrow clipped Santino, ?the Chief?, at the tape for 2nd. Santino, ?the Chief?, took 3rd while George Abraham, riding for Santino?s, took 4th, and Edwin Martinez once again rounded off the top 5.
