On Sunday, November 19, the San Pedro Darts Committee hosted a huge darts tournament at Cholo’s Sports Bar in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
Omar Guererro and Ricky Manzano, both of San Pedro, took first and second place respectively in the open singles category. Luis Marin of Belize City came in third.
Sadie Lord, hailing all the way from Ladyville, took first place honors in the female singles category. Sandra Recinos of San Ignacio, Cayo came in second place while San Pedro’s Melanie Paz rounded out the top three.
In the open doubles category, brothers Omar and Dimas Guererro from San Pedro took first place over Ricky Manzano and Melanie Paz, also from San Pedro.
San Pedro’s Mario Graniel scored the highest dart finish with 130 points. Omar Guererro also scored the most tons, 31, to edge out Ricky Manzano’s 30.
There is one tournament remaining on the calendar, which will be held sometime before the Christmas. The date for the final event on the San Pedro tour will be announced later.
