BELIZE CITY, Wed. Nov. 23, 2022

The home-and-away semifinals of the Football Federation of Belize’s (FFB) National U13 Girls Elite Championship 2022 got under way with Leg 1 semifinal games this past weekend on Saturday, November 19 (Garifuna Settlement Day) at two different venues, both starting at 2:00 p.m.

At the M.A. Stadium in Independence, home standing Mid-South gained the 2-0 victory over Belmopan on a first half goal by Genesis Burgess (30) along with an own goal from Belmopan’s Camilla Barrera (57’ OG).

Meanwhile, at the Andres Campos Civic Center in Corozal, it was the visitors, Cayo, coming away with a 3-0 win over Corozal with a goal each from Neylani Noralez (4’), Rihanna Valentine (15’) and Anneke Meza (29’).

The same teams clash in the 2nd Leg of the semifinals this coming Saturday.

Saturday, November 26
2:00 p.m. – Cayo vs Corozal – Norman Broaster Stadium
2:00 p.m. – Belmopan vs Mid-South – Isidoro Beaton Stadium
